Capt. Samuel Brady was often called the Daniel Boone of the Ohio Valley, and a hero who worked to protect settlers from Indian marauders in the  late 1700s. But his legend, they say, was cemented by one desperate act he took while - naked, weaponless and scorched by a fire meant to kill him - he evaded hundreds of pursuing warriors in a flight through present-day Kent, Ohio.
